    • 住宿费用为主要支出;
    • 餐饮与交通费用则相对亲民。
    • 行程结束后直接返回加拿大者,建议购买往返机票;
    • 若计划由台湾转赴大陆者,建议购买单程机票,以增加行程灵活性。

In the vibrant month of April, the Calgary Jiang Zhe Shanghai Association’s “Golden Years Project” lecture series welcomed its second exciting event. Today, we had the honor of inviting the Pan Asia Travel team, located at 328 Centre Street South, Calgary, to our venue for a rich and lively special lecture on Taiwan travel.

This lecture was personally led by Ms. Xiaolin Liu, President of Pan Asia Travel, who provided our members with a detailed explanation of the latest Taiwan travel routes and practical operations. She also offered professional analysis of the policy differences that Chinese individuals with different statuses may encounter when traveling to Taiwan. Ms. Xiaolin Liu can be contacted at (403) 237-5455 or (403) 651-4688 for further inquiries.

Professional Analysis of Travel Policies

During the lecture, Ms. Liu specifically analyzed travel policies based on two common statuses among our members:

  • Canadian citizens (holding Canadian passports): Eligible for 90-day visa-free entry to Taiwan, with simple and straightforward procedures.
  • Chinese passport holders (with Canadian Permanent Resident Cards): Must apply for entry permits from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vancouver in advance. The process is relatively complicated and requires more time for planning and preparation.

Ms. Liu emphasized that these identity differences directly impact the travel preparation process for Taiwan. Members are advised to plan early according to their individual circumstances to avoid any delays.

Recommended Travel Routes and Tips

During the travel recommendation session, the Pan Asia Travel team customized several classic and practical Taiwan travel routes specifically for our members. Key points included:

  • Best travel time: September to November each year, with pleasant weather and beautiful scenery.
  • Price trend reminder: Starting from December, prices may increase as it enters the peak season.
  • Consumption structure analysis:
    • Accommodation costs constitute the major expense;
    • Food and transportation costs are relatively affordable.
  • Airfare purchasing suggestions:
    • For those returning directly to Canada after the trip, purchasing round-trip tickets is recommended;
    • For those planning to travel from Taiwan to Mainland China, purchasing one-way tickets offers greater flexibility.

Enthusiastic Response and Lively Interaction

Throughout the lecture, Ms. Liu and her team captured the full attention of our members with vivid and detailed explanations. Many attendees expressed that even if they had visited Taiwan before, they were eager to revisit the island to experience its rich cultural charm and natural beauty once again.

The interaction session was filled with lively discussions, with members eagerly asking questions. The venue was full of laughter and genuine enthusiasm for travel. This lecture not only provided practical travel guidelines but also further inspired the members’ passion for exploring the beauty of Taiwan.

The Golden Years Project lecture series will continue to bring more exciting and enriching content to our members. Stay tuned!
